How to protect bottom of stand?

Do you put anything on the bottom of your stand to protect the wood? Mine is painted, so that will help, but wondering if anyone puts anything else on the bottom to help protect the wood and reduce any sounds?

Thanks

My tank is small so I was able to by a regular cabinet and modify it to be a tank stand. It was made of thin panels that would resonate so I cut 5/8" 13play and screwed and glued it to the inside. This also gave me a good surface to mount timers and power strips. The whole thing is very quiet now. The other benifit to this stand (I think I got it at Target) was adjustable, screw-on feet so I gan really get the thing level. It was painted so i did not do anything to the sides, but I do keep a good coat of wax on the liitle bit of the top that shows to protect against the water that spills.

Sound wise since i know ur going sump. Get the sticky felt pads that are about an inch around aand line the bottom of the sump. It helps the pump not resonate through the stand.

Thanks that a good idea, but I was talking about some type of mat or something to protect the wood? Any need for something like this?
