Look what I pulled out my tank tonite

Tank was becoming a jungle so I had to do some thinning.

This is one sword plant - it took up almost the entire tank:

And here is the dwarf sag I pulled up:

There's still 2 baby swords, more sag (cause you can never get rid of it all) A java fern about the size of a childs head and other smaller ferns all over, and a few anubias nana in there. But wow - I can finally see the fishies again!

Who says you can't get good growth in a low light tank with no ferts or c02!

OMG that's a big sword! I would love to do a cube tank and have that as the only plant, so cool!

It's taken over my 90. Four months ago it was a 10" "patch", now I can't see my substrate except on the very far end under some swords...and it's still creeping that way, lol. I can no longer count my corys. I lost a pair of scissors the other day. It's out of control.

^ ROFL @ losing the scissors! Ahahahahaha!

It's so weird to sit here and look at my tank and actually see the fish and the bubbles from the air stone. The fish may be a bit freaked out tho with losing all that cover. I was so scared I was gonna bring up some trapped gas from the substrate while tearing all that stuff out - I had my vac in one hand sucking up the gross debris while pulling with the other. The tank is tall and I was literally in up to my pits and both arms were 100% covered with duckweed, lol. Oh and when I pulled the sword out about 3000 snails fell off it and onto the floor. It was a huge mess.

holy crap! what species of sword was that? lol

I just did a total rescape on my tank today, and pulled about 150 endler babies out of the tank lol. I know the "overgrown feeling"

I dunno what kind of sword it is - it came in one of the plastic tubes from Petco about 5 years ago and has been split up and replanted numerous times now.

I think a before and after shot of the tank would be fun to see. That sword plant looks great.

Too late for a before - I don't thin I've taken any pics of the tank for a long time but I'll check and see.

Amazon for sure! I have one in my tank and it takes up a good 1/4 of the tank, and I have a 60G. (Look at my journal for pics of it)
