New Angels, Special surprise.

after my two golden angels died of camalanus worms (They would no longer eat the medicated food), I decided to get 3 small angels. They are about 1 inch long and high, really small and adorable. Neons scare them .

Anyway, I was greeted with a pleasant surprise. They have camalanus worms! How awesome!
It seems pets plus doesnt take care of their fish very well. I am medicating their bloodworms with Discomed, which contains levimasol. The red threads seem to be getting longer, as if the worms are moving out of their system. Is this a sign the medication's working? I dont want to lose more angels, and risk getting my surviving ram infected again.

Well, if you still see the worms hanging out of their butt after couple of days, it still isn't fully working. When I dosed the water with levamisole, I can't find ANY after 24hours.

I picked up my SAE's from them, but I quarantine them for two months before I added them into my main tank.

Lately I've purchase all my fishes from Aquarium center.

Anyway, Glad your fish are doing good.

well, thanks for being glad everyone, but one of the angels wasnt eating, and i found it dead this morning. I havnt seen the camalanus infected one eating today, so i found him "squished" between watersprite and the glass, with a lighter, bleached like stripe going from his gill fin to his tail. He isnt moving at all, and sinks like he has a swimbladder problem. Im not sure if hes dead, so I'll wait till tomorrow and see. Any ideas what happened?

it seems angels dont like me, or I just got some of the bad kind every time. The other one is fine though, stealing food from the ram who's as big as him. Ill see if I can find him a friend when he gets bigger.

Does Metro do anything for these worms?

I have the same problem, 2 batches of angels with these. Can the live in the water without a host?

Metro doesn't do anyting to these worms. I don't know if they can live in water without host, so I dose the water to be safe.
