Average Plant Prices

I'm just starting to get to the point were I can start selling my plants! YAY! I would like to know what the AVERAGE price for certain plants the I have would be. I can't find very many threads in the S&S with prices on the plants that I have.
Here are the plants the I have that I need an average on.

Downio- 5 plants that are about 2.5 inches tall and an inch in diameter

Cabomba Caroliniana - each stem is about 5-9 inches tall

Anubias barteri 'Petite'- all very young. About 5-7 small pinto bean sized leaves.

Any estimates are helpful.

Downoi - @ 2"+ Diameter is $5. Do your potential buyers a favor and don't sell it at 1" diameter. It will take the transplant much better.

I recently sold 50 Downoi. back when I was buying them Most of the ones around 1" really were weak and took a longer time to adjust.

Thank you for your reply. I went and look at the plants after I typed up the thread and there are 2 that are more like 2.5 in diameter and an inch in height. Sounds like that will be my starting price! Thanks again

Those should do well for your buyers. I learned from buying from several sources the best way to ship Downoi is in little plastic containers like you would get Potato salad at the deli counter in.

Other wise the leaves break in shipping as they can be a bit brittle. It's nice to see new people selling that take pride in their plants. This is a small community and reputation counts.

Best of luck

I use some plastic containers then. I got received the mother plant in a plastic bag and the same thought crossed my mind about the leaves breaking.

The nice thing is you can recycle things like deli tubs, butter tubs etc. You should be able to find those for free and just have to clean them.

dont want to be the jerk that says use the search function but if you go to the sns section and do a search for the particular plant that you are looking for, you will get a good idea as to how much each particluar plant goes for. i use it all the time

No worries on being a jerk. I did search before I posted this thread and I found plenty of sales threads for Downio (I was mainly looking for the prices on Downio), but all of them had the prices removed and said *sold*

You might have better search results if you spelled it correctly: Downoi
