all you light experts, I need some help

It seems that people on this forum are much more techincal than compared to aquaria central. This I love. I have heard about different PAR's for ordinary flourescent bulbs. Here is my question, do you know the PAR's for these two T-8 bulbs?
phillips natural sunshine 5000K
phillips daylight delux 6500K

would the GE aquarays fresh and salt 9325K be a huge step up PAR wise? Do they make a T-8 version yet? Does anyone have an official list of popular bulbs? I really like the color of the 5000K bulbs and I also have a 18" T-8 GE aquarays and love the color of this bulb also. My 55 gallon thread is located here incase you are interested.

I dont really know much about lumens and par, however there is a good thread about it in the FAQ section??? I think.

BUT if you like the techinical and since this is about lighting, there is a post in the FAQ section callec Cheap lighting, it is wonderfull, and the results are stunning!

another techinical resource is thekrib.com but it seems to have lost its following, good info, just no interaction like this site has

PAR :

5000K : +/- > 201

6500K : +/- > 209

I don't know the 9325K PAR, but it won't be a huge difference and I suspect in the same range ( 200 - 210).

It's more a matter of taste and provide enough Watt/Gallon to grow plants.

I have used both of the philips bulbs you have mentioned, and will be setting up a 55 gallon with a mixture of both bulbs. I like these bulbs alot and like the color of the bulbs.
