How do you plant deep / tall tanks?

As in physically get in there to put the plants in substrate. My 25" high 16" deep 90 gallon is about the most I can imagine. Getting to the back is near impossible. I'm ordering a 180 gallon which is the same height, but 24" deep - and I have no idea how i'm going to play it.

Being 6'4 with a 79" wingspan helps.

5'5" with short arms.
Stepstool, 12" forceps and working mostly during water changes in a 24x24" tank. 3-4" of substrate helps a lot too.
My current 24" tall by 18" deep tank is much easier to deal with but I miss the extra depth.

I used a selection of various length tweezers and scissor styles. Plus have a couple of differeent step stool around the house that I can stand on.
