Painting acrylic

i don't like the color of the back of my acrylic aquarium. I know that i can paint the back of the aquarium pretty safely but can i paint the inside with latex paint safely?

i thought about just buying a 3D background but honestly the cost is prohibitive and i want to get this tank up and going.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

note: i'd like the tank to be safe for Discus and shrimps

I used to have that same color for my fish store. I would leave it. Plants look good against the blue. I had black-backed acrylics and when I housed discus (in the black back) they turned dark.

Maybe consider a think sheet of Acrylic of a different color and just put in in the tank as a background? Silicone doesn't make a good bond to acrylic to build for strength, but it will hold good enough to hold a background pc in place.

You can paint the inside but, it will be a challenge doing a nice job. Unless you can teach that cat how to paint.
