Plumbing with Canister

Just wondering those of you that have sump and other equipment under your stand, be it heater, uv, do you have the plumbing done with vinyl tubing or the non flex PVC? Going to be re doing my setup in the next few days, so I am just wondering. I think because of limited room under my stand, the vinyl tubing would be my best bet, plus I have to connect reactor, uv, and heater.

Thanks

I have a reef tank... I didn't think people used sumps on planted tanks...

I have a 29g sump on my 125g planted, and a 20g sump on my 55g planted turtle tank. Both plumbed with PVC. The only flexable hose is 2 feet from the return pump to the PVC return.

I have sumps to hide equipment and keep a constant water level. Plus I think it's cheaper than a canister.

Vinyl tubing works great. Pickup some from almost any department store. I went a size up on mine
