Gray Granite Tank Frame?

I recently purchased a used tank that had plastic trim I had never seen before. It's has a gray granite pattern on it, and it's not textured, the plastic is actually gray, so someone spray painting it is out.
Does anyone have one of these? I can't decide if it's funny or just 80's tacky. I'm considering painting my lights to match, but I haven't decided if I even like it.

A picture would help, but I don't have lighting enough in that room.

They made a Black framed tank that had white wavy scribble pattern in the 60's. Does that tank have a glass bottom?

Most of the pre 60s tanks I've seen had slate bottoms, and even marble bottoms.

Yes, pics help

It's not that old, I'm thinking 80's at the oldest. It has trempured glass. I can't find anything online. Here is a pic

Yeah just get some paint made for plastic, tape the tank off, and spray that thing. It's kind of ewwww!

I wouldn't paint over it, black rim plastic tanks are a dine a dozen. This one might actually be worth something at resale.

It looks like a Chinese made tank from maybe 10 years ago. I know I have seen that in a LFS, but not for a long time. I like it.

I've seen tanks with "columns" on the ends made from 2" wide strips of Corian (solid surface) that looked quite attractive, and the top band was also made from Corian. This particular one was kinda "nutmeg" looking granite.

Unfortunately the tank was actually a true rimless tank and was owned by an over-zealous counter-top shop employee. He apparently thought showing off his solid-surface skills made a nice rimless 70g tank look nicer. Not really. It did look nice, but not as nice as a rimless 70g should

It's just standard plastic, with a brace in the middle.
I hear you guys who say it's hideous and ew, but...again I can't seem to find another one like it. For uniqueness sake, I can't just paint over it.
I would have to say judging by the single strip matching light, the plug and ballast look older than 10 years, but I could be wrong. The light is unfortunately cracked and has the side panel missing, but I'll keep it in storage since it matches it.
