Fluval Ebi on Glass table

Hello everyone,
I recently moved into a new apartment, and it seems that a glass side table is the best place to put my ebi aquarium. I'm kinda concerned about placing the aquarium on the table full of water. Right now i have the ebi in a dry start method their. What does everyone else think?

I don't trust the glass table especially since there is no support directly under where the tank is sitting.

I do have fluval ebi tank. When you put light, filters, soils and fill up the water, they get pretty heavy. I wouldn't put them on glass.

water is around 8.34 lbs per gallon, so being an 8 gallon tank lets say it weighs approx 70 lbs with water in it (its an overestimation but better to over estimate than underestimate)

Yeah i understand how much the aquarium weighs but this glass is pretty thick i can sit on the coffee table without worrying about it breaking and i certainly weigh more than 70 lbs. lol

Edit: just measured it the glass is 1/2" thick

You should be fine, 1/2 inch is pretty thick. I would definitely put something between the bottom of the tank and the table to avoid glass-on-glass contact.
