can you make a moss wall from riccia? or even like a carpet? if so how do you do it and what all do i need? id like to either make a carpet or a wall in my 10. which would look better with riccia, and how fast does riccia grow?

I've heard about carpets being made by
Tying riccia to a rock with a hairnet or fishing line and let it grow. Or you can use any kind of mesh ect.

I don't think a riccia wall would work because the riccia at the bottom wouldnt be getting enough light ie you would have to angle your light towards the wall.

I don't think a riccia wall would work very well either, also when riccia grows long bits break off very easily. After a while you would likely have lots of riccia floating around the top. To get a riccia carpet is really easy, just secure some riccia to some flat stones or stainless steel mesh. A lot of people use hair nets and such to attach riccia. I just used cotton thread and its working out just fine, the riccia covered it up and you can's see the thread anymore.

Yeah I've seen fishing line work, I like the idea of rock-riccia-mesh-fishing line. Seems more secure and it looks like it works
