Just ordered my lights!

So excited for when my AquaticLife 48" T5 HO 2 Lamp Fixture! Comes with one 6000K and one 650nm Roseate T5 HO bulb. So probably will change out the 650nm for maybe a 10k bulb to round out the color.

Just need to figure out what kind of material to use that is see through that i can make a rectangle extension of my tank for terrestrial plants above the tank as well as it doubles for an archer fish shooting gallery....need to make sure whatever i make it out of can handle the heat form the light fixture.....

best thing to use would be more glass cut to fit and sealed together with some braces for support when removed

orther then that plexi glass or lexan or the like will do i built a hex top outta plexi and it held up to the heat of 1 t8 (which i know isnt much) but it was also too thin and bowed cause of the 22 in span it covered

It might warp and not sit properly around rim, stick to glass.
