Holiday Theme - Plants in the HOB

Has anyone tried poinsettias in their HOB filter (hydroponically)?

My mint plants and peace lily have grown in them, though I know they could use some more light. I attribute their success because they naturally need a relatively higher pH and hardness.

Will poinsettias have similar requirements?

Found out poinsettias require a pH of 6.5

Anyone have emersed HOB plants that require a low pH, but still thrive in high pH(>7.4)?

poinsettias in nature like to have their roots dry. I water mine about once a month so I'm thinking there not going to like the HOB.

I have two pothos vines growing out of my overflow box.
Not really holiday but it's not exactly normal either
