what fish for hair algae

I have a little bit of hair algae and i know sae will eat them but my lfs dont even carry them and when you ask they point you to cae. Is their online store i could buy the real sae from? Or is their maybe a different fish that will eat the stuff that my lfs might have?

They are a schooling fish, they should be in a group of 5-6.

I don't have any experience with red-tailed sharks, sorry.

$24.95 is a very reasonable rate for shipping fish. Most sites charge more than that.

I prefer the Siamese Algae Eater. They are the most prolific algae eater! In fact, they'll eat anything and fun to watch as well.

Another vote for flagfish. They are born to eat all types of algae.
They put the sae to shame.
But, the sae looks better.

My sae has eaten everything except for hair algae. He even swims up my filter to eat algae but won't eat hair.

If you're ever west of the mountains, The Fish Store on Roosevelt in Seattle carries SAE's on a regular basis. FWIW.
