That faux wood grain has GOT to go, but in brushed aluminum or even black this would be lovely.

Is that a glass tank?

I love the seemless front corners.

How much is a tank like that going for?

Here they are:

I really wish I had picked one of these instead of acrylic.

One of the LFS around here has started carrying some similar aquariums that are made in China. The styles the aquarium is available in are mind boggling, and they are of glass construction.

Even more mind boggling was the price a huge room divider aquarium (gallons are escaping me ) was about $1200. I was told something similar manufactured in our mid-west by Oceanic would be about double that.

They have them at Tongs in Fountain Valley, CA. They have one of the smaller ones set up as a planted tank. Quality looks very, very good. I'd get one in a second (& wish I did).

I looked a one of these and found the lighting to be limited. I think the 4' had two T-12's (more than standard) but the are wired in such a way that it might be hard to upgrade. Neat tanks though. "The way of the future"

Moved to Tucson.

I wonder if we could turn "The Planted Tank" into a corporation and then start wholesaling supplies to members. Just a thought. (Not that I want to completely cut my LFS out of the action or anything...)
