Wood finally sunk

I have been curing my driftwood for 1 and 1/2 months now. It quit leaching out tannin awhile ago but took more time to sink.. so last night it went in the tank. This is what it looks like for now...Next comes plants.. I will have a total of 96 watts on the 100gal so not much to choose from.. Hopefully more pics to come.

I wish I had something big enough for me to soak my driftwood I got at the beach after a storm. It's like 30x4x30 lol, and would stick out about 10 inches from the top of my tank, but it would be awesome!

Thanks Jason that's one of the reasons the wife picked it out. It goes all the way through and also connects to other smaller ones through out like and underwater tunnel.

jed-- I built a "tub" out of wood and used a thick mill painters plastic to hold the water in. It was out side the whole time. I rigged up a pump and hose and put a lid on it. then every 3 days or so just plug in the pump to drain then the hose to filler up. It's that easy!

OK so now I am noticing a slight green tint which I never have had until this wood went in. I do have a UV on it and the bulb was just changed 3 months ago. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Well it could be tannins from the wood still leaching out into the water. The UV bulb wont help that. Water changes or purigen can help clear out tannins.
