How efficient is indirect tropical sunlight (Miami)

I have a large window I want to put my tank under. It gets some decent light a few hours a day, however there is a patio outside of it and is facing into a courtyard so the building across blocks out alot of sun.. I mean, it lights the room but the rays arent beaming in if you know what I mean.

Im waiting for my lamps to arrive and in the meantime my plants arent looking all that happy, I thought maybe I could move this under it and hope for the best.

THoughts?

It can't be any worse than no light at all. Go for it.
