There are some great bargains in the Swap and Shop. There are plant packages available for a song and some rare plants to boot!

I highly Recommend AquariumGarden! Their prices are chaep, shipping is a flat rate, and they give you free plants (mostly Crypts). The only downside is that is take at least 10days before you get it (doesn't take 10days to ship but rather they only order once or twice a week from their nursery). Plants arrive in good shape and there's ton of varies of plants too!

The best plants I ever received were from fellow forum members. Cheaper, too.

For instance right now I have Riccia that I am going to have to throw away. If your tank was set up I'd offer to send it to you for the cost of shipping ($4-5)

wow thanks for the replies .....
I checked out that site, great prices really, I found this package that got my attention, are any of the plants in this hard to keep ?
thats a great idea gettin plants from this forum, I'll keep that in mind really, but for now I'm thinking a package deal might be best just to get the tank filled a bit faster........

Send a message via Yahoo to Aphyosemion
I place my larger orders from aquariumplant.com. They are great and one of the cheaper places to order from. For smaller orders, I usually buy or trade from the people here in the forum or just stop at my LFS.

Two 1 GA desktops, a 5 gallon, a 2.5 gallon, a 10 gallon, a 20 gallon, a 25 gallon, and two 75 gallon tanks, all planted.
I am an expert on algae, so ask me if you have questions. I know how to grow it, just not how to get rid of it.

Vendors:

Some require a minimum order - I don't like that.
Some charge boxing fees and/or handling fees - I don't like that either.
Some "claim" to be the best - snail infestations and other "extras" included in their plants.
Some only ship a certain carrier and charge you an arm and a leg - I don't like that either.
Some send "stingy" plants - I don't like that.

These are who I preffer and would always recomend to people:

www.aquabid.com - Great deals and variety

www.freshwateraquariumplants.com

aquariumgarden.com

Hey guys! Don't forget to add AquaBotanic to the list!

They have been around the longest and have the whole business down to a science!
