Aquasoil in New 40B

Just finished building a new stand for the 40B I picked up during the last $1 a gallon tank sale at Petco. I'm expecting some manzy and plants next week and decided to use Aquasoil in this tank. In the meantime, should I fill the tank to let the ammonia spike start taking its course or should I wait until I get my wood and plants and do everything at once? I thought I read aquasoil is diffcult to deal with once the tank has been filled...and can turn to mud if drained. I used eco-complete previously so I didn't have any issues planting after the tank has been filled.

it turns to mud after months/years

...a week of cycling a 40B wont make much difference (overall)...but it will definitely help and make the time needed to add fauna much shorter

I would start it now so bacteria can begin to develop on all possible surfaces...
