How many pounds of this substrate do you think I would need to cap my dirt in a 29g?

Each selection on that site has cubic inches posted. Just multiply the depth you want over your dirt by the foot print of your tank and divide by the amount in the bag of substrate you are considering.

1 liter = 61 cubic inches
1 gallon = 231 cubic inches
