Your Floating Plant

Good morning CYG...

I'm referring to my handy "Aquarium Plant" book and I don't believe you have Water wisteria there. Water wisteria is a stem plant and this one is growing like a variety of Water sprite.

The leaves of the Water sprite will grow in different forms depending on the substrate or if it's floating. The Water sprite I have likes to be floated, so it's closer to the light source and some of the leaves do get fairly large.

Its Ceratopteris cornuta. Although Water Wisteria (Hygrophila difformis) looks very similar to Broad leaf Watersprite (Ceratopteris cornuta), it doesn't grow daughter plants.

Thanks BBradbury and Vic. that is exactly what it is. And it looks nothing like wisteria in my opinion. Mind you I havent seen it planted rather than floating.
