I've got one for my 80g's sump. Works well and, in my opinion, easier maintenance than a canister. Only problem is that my drainage tube is a little large and makes a loud draining noise if it's not set just perfectly.

I use one too. I cover the top of the outside part with bubble wrap which keeps air movement down and the CO2 ought to stay put better. When it was flexibly plumbed air in the out tube collected air and gurgled so I would burp it. Now I can fill the PVC pipe by holding my hand on the intake so the box fills up and when I take my hand off sometimes I get it just right and the gurgle is gone.

Love having a constant level in the display tank. surface skimming and the CO2 reactor and heater aren't in the tank.

Maintenance? I rinse out the sponges weekly and that is it.
