Question about CO2 diffuser

I've just made a switchover from Carbo plus to pressurized CO2. I have questions with the diffuser to use with CO2.

1. The ceramic disc diffusers, when I used it, I see fine bubbles coming of it, and some actually exited to the surface without disappearing in the mid water. Is this a pure waste of CO2 for using ceramic discs?

2. I then tried removing the ceramic disc, inverted the plastic container made it into an upside down bell to trap CO2 for them to dissolve on its own. The rate of dissolving is very slow. Should I increase the flow rate around the inverted cone? Or should I go look for a better diffuser design?

3. Would a CO2 reactor be overkill for a 10G nano?

This seems to be a popular reactor design. I personally use the Hagen ladder with decent sucess in my 10G.

Never mind the CO2 reactor overkill or not question, because I couldn't wait and already went out, get the parts and made one.

I've set the bubble rate to be 1bubble/3sec. After 2 hours pH is unchanged, still at 7.5. Now I am adjusting it up to 1bubble/sec. We will see how this goes.

Thanks for your suggestion to go with the CO2 reactor.
