A question of snails!

I have some pesky snails in one of my tanks and have been just manually removing them, but I never seem to get them all.
I would like to take cuttings of the plants in that tank to put in another tank but dont want to take the snails with them. Is there something I can do to the plants to clean them of snails/eggs beforehand???
