floating hydor breather bags

if i float a breather bag full of shrimp will they suficate? My thinking behind this is the bag needs air to flow into the bag so if the bag is under water will the oxygen disolved in the tank water be able to make it thru the membrane?

Yes, it will kill them. Just cut the bag down the side, let it collapse, and drip acclimate for like an hour. Good luck.

Really? It will allow oxygen from the air to permeate the bag, but not allow oxygen from your fish tank's water into the bag? That doesn't sound right.

I've floated a bunch of stuff in hydor breater bags and didn't lose any of them.

Kordon specifically tells you not to float the breather bags in the handling instructions on the website

30 min or so. I'm sure there's plenty of oxygen in the bag water for that time.
