The best food for Grindal worms

I started my own culture successfully. Dead leaves from nearby forest, oatmeal soaked in milk, water or in buttermilk. They eat it and grow well. I would like to have more of them. Does anyone, who culture Grindals, has a better suggestion to boost their population growth?

Really? I never gave it a thought. Do you soak it in water, milk or broth of any kind? Which brand of catfood is better? Why not dogfood?

I think you are fine just feeding them oatmeal and biscuit. If you already have dog/cat food, go ahead and gave that a try and see if they eat it. I wouldn't go out and buy dog/cat food if you don't have any. Just stick to what you have.

Thank you for sharing your experience. One time or another I wil ltry all these. One thing should be kept in mind: Grindal worms are what they eat and this is what I feed to the fish. Perhaps, cat food or dog food should be a good idea, because they are "complete". I may try to add some vegetables, like cooked carrots, as a supplement first.

I have a bag of food for pond fish. It is Southern States brand. A handful of this food to my Grindals culture produced immediate effect. Millins of young worms appeared overnight.
