fishless cycle... pure ammonia?

I'm hoping to get my 29 up and running with water, substrate, and a hardscape before the end of next week, and then I'm hoping to get a cycle started...

anyways, I figure adding pure ammonia is probably the best way, but to be honest I have no idea where to get it?

You can check at a drug store, or maybe walmart, home depot, ect.

Give it a good shake, if the bubbles don't dissolve very quickly, it's no good.

I found mine at the local non-homedepot non-lowes hardware store.

If you want to go that route, Ace Hardware has the surfactant-free ammonia you're looking for. The bottle has a maroon label, is generic Ace brand, and says "Janitorial Strength Ammonia". And costs about as much as I usually have in coins in my pocket.

If you have a tank and a filter, you can start cycling now. Or even just a powerhead. Not as effective, but it's a jumpstart.

The only place I was able to find it was at a Dollar Store.
