If you have a garden, it's good for that too. Recycle.

not only do I use tank water but when I'm unfortunate enough to lose a fish I'll bury it one of the pots... circle of life.

I have a hibiscus that kept dropping buds until I started giving it tank water. Now I'm getting a couple blooms every other week. I have also been rooting plants in the back of my tanks and the send off stronger roots in a shorter amount of time.

Yes I do. The hostas outside, the flowers in the garden, and the house plants.

Yes, and i used to squeeze out my sponge filters from the breeder tanks into the water chage bucket (Tank water) and use it in the garden. The nastier it looked the better my garden & house plants looked.

I also occassionaly dump coffee grounds around the Rose bush and we have a 30 year old Ruber tree plant that gets coffee grounds too.

I started composting years before it became PC to be green. We kinda old hippies but, more because I refuse to bag up leaves & grass clipping and pay the garbage company to haul it away so they can sell it to a compost company.
