Emursed Crypt for start-up

Would it be good or NOT so good to start a tank of Crypts as emursed plants?

If so how low to keep the water? What growth rate point would I start to raise the water level?

Emersed and immersed growth is different enough in most Crypts that I don't know whether the foliage would survive the transition. I think that most would melt but I have to admit I haven't tried.

Why not try it and see what happens?

I just can't imagine in nature that after a drought/or drop in water levels, Crypts drop all the trerestral type leaves?

I have this idea for a type of tank that minics nature's wet & dry cycles. It would house Crypts & maybe Java fern, Labyrinth fish. During the summer months I would drop the water level. We don't air condition the house during the day when we are not at home but we do leave windows open/fans on. I'd have to think an emersed type tanl with a top would stay humid?
