Snails...

So I've got a large infestation going.. and I was wondering how you guys usually deal with it? I don't mind a few but there's hundreds and they're very unsightly.. I know loaches eat them, but I don't want to add loaches unless I really have to.... I mean I guess manual removal, but I feel like they'd just come back... any advice?

nip it in the bud now!!! i HATE snails!!

when i was cycling my 20 i noticed 2 "cute" pond snails in there... fast forward 2 months and i just took down the tank and tossed the plants and gravel and have started fresh. they completely took over!

i was taking the snails out with a net and dropping them into my betta tank because he likes to eat them. i would only drop in a few a day and the rest would get flushed. now they are all gone (knock on wood) and i am moving the betta to the 20 so if any more pop up he will hopefully take care of them.

i would drop in an algae wafer and when all the snails went to eat i would scoop them all out with the net. i heard that lettuce it great for doing that. put in a leaf over night and then in the morning take out the whole thing a toss it.
