What is this? need help urgent!!

Hey guys,

I setup a low tech planted tank on my fuval edge. I put in 2 piece of driftwood in them. I boiled them before i put it but for some reason these white stuff grown on my driftwood. It look like a shell or something. Do you guys know what it is? and how treat it?

Don't have to do anything, it's normal fungus growth with new wood. Not harmful to plants or fish/shrimp. It will go away in 1-2wks.

Ya, this happened to me as well, it looks nasty, but goes away in no time!
