Exclamation DIY CO2 Reactor Questions!!!

Alright guys,
I was looking around for cheap way of making a DIY CO2 Reactor and found this: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-...quarium/#step1

I was wondering if this set-up is any good for my 2.5G set-up? I have low light, so would it work or would there be too much CO2? Also, I can't regulate the flow of CO2 coming in the tank... Would there be a way of regulating it? Maybe a valve that let's co2 out in the room, or would that be dangerous for me? It's in my room and would be off while I sleep if I can turn it off!

Thanks in advance!!

It will work. I a 2L bottle set up like this on my grow out tank.

I wouldn't use silicone though. Just drill the hole in the lid small enough that the tubing is very tight. I've been reusing the same cap on my little grow out tank for half a year or so.

Airstones aren't a very good way to diffuse either. I suggest a split impeller powerhead and lift tube, or alternatively, you can plumb it in to your filter intake.

A 2.5G aquarium is very small, so you may want to go easy on the yeast and sugar. I'm just guessing though. I haven't tried this method on anything under 10G.

Could you explain the split impellers and the intake plumbing thing? Thanks!!
Would I be able to inject the CO2 directly in my filter (Red Sea Nano HOB), or would I lose too much CO2 when it "falls" back in the tank?
