questions about pennywort and blyxa

what will be a convenient way weigh down pennywort? the lead band came with the bunch is not long enough anymore since pennywort grows like crazy.

Also if my blyxa plants grow into several branches, do I have to thin it to maintain robust growth?

10 gallon Walmart tank, DIY CO2, HOB filter (sponge and ceramic ball) and coralife T5 (2x14W normal output). Dwarf hairgrass, rosetta sword, anubias and Brazilian pennywort. And that gree dust algae that I can never truly get rid off

I put a rubber band around a pebble and stuck several stems around it. That worked. The stems are far enough apart so the leaves aren't shading each other too much and it looks fairly natural.

It can be planted. Trim the stem close to a node leaving the roots and taking off the leaf and plant each stem individually and carefully. Not saying the roots want to be in the substrate but they will hold the stem down.
