I have recently purchased a brown crypt and it thoughtfully spared me any significant melting. It put out 2 new brown leaves then put out a green leaf, and I haven't seen any growth since. Why would it put out a green leaf? Is this a sign of some needs that aren't being met?

Thanks everyone...........Sue

The green leaf might turn brown - wait a few days. My brown crypts new leaves are sometimes green.

Cypts are slow growing plants and they don' like to be moved or disturbed. Once disturbed you may not see any new growth for a couple of weeks.
I agree with gulf coast, it'll probably turn brown in time.
