Wet Dry Filter for Planted Tank

I知 setting up my 110 X-High as a plant tank. No water yet but I知 second guessing using my wet/dry. I have started with a couple inches of Fluorite base over heated cables. I have two 175w 6500k Metal Halides. Hopefully that痴 enough because I think my two 96w square four pin fluorescents are obsolete. I have a large CO2 tank with a Milwaukee dosing setup. I have two overflow boxes in the upper rear corners. I知 planning to flow that through submerged filter media in my sump. I have the water returning through a 3 long spray bar located in the back and about 3 above the substrate. I知 planning to decrease the flow rate and not having any surface agitation.

Do you think the loss of CO2 would warrant buying a canister filter? Will the fish get enough O2 without surface agitation?
