If you have fish or shrimp I'd get that thing out of there asap. It will feed on your livestock.

Depends on the fish but fish food, perhaps?
One of those things most of us miss seeing. We had gone a long, long, time without ever seeing a butterfly chrysalis but now that we are aware of them, we see them almost every year. Seems to take years for me to open my eyes to seeing things?

Nope just snails and plants in that tank, probably why he survived i am sure a fish would of ate him up when he was little. Looks like they eat snails but his tank has 100's of bladder snails so I can spare a few.

He just plopped himself on the top of the heater and transformed. Unless I have 2 of these little guys in the tank.
I didn't notice until now. I wish I had of seen him crawl out of the water so I could document the process more.
Believe it or not but his entire thread just happened today.

You have let any young folks know that there may be a small dragon flying around the house? They used to freak my granddaughter in the pool even when she knew there was no harm as they seemed to prefer her head over anything else!

Omg that's sooo cool. Did you know that dragon flies spend 7 YEARS living under the water and only live above water for about 7 days. They are so cool. We have dragon flies around the lake by my house all the time... they are really fun.

He is outside now, my son 10 years old, did the honors. He flew away under his own power. Just turned dark here so little chance of being eaten by a bird till morning.
