What are these white specks?

Just wondering what these might be, Tank has been set up a year and noticed them for the first time this week. Snail eggs? I have two apple snails and have seen very tiny ramshorn snails. Other than that just added a ghost shrimp last week. Rest of inhabitants are fish.

What fish do you have? I never had apple snails but those little snails normally lay eggs that look like jelly and are very firm on leaves etc. Might be fish eggs. My angle fish always use to lay eggs then eat them straight away, apparently some fish get excited by their mirror image in the glass and lay eggs even though there is no male.

This looks like nerite snail eggs. But if you do not have them in your tank, than it's a mistery...
Apple snail lay their eggs out of the water...

Just googled Nerite snails and that’s what I have. They were sold to me as apple snails but definitely Nerite. Mystery solved!

Lol.
Thatís what they do. Clean algae and lay eggs all over the tank. Very hard to remove.

Oh too bad. If I moved them to salt water now I wonder if they would hatch, or if they die right away if in fresh water. Wouldnít mind raising some

I would just leave them be in their regular tank. I'm not aware of anyone that has had success hatching the eggs and raising the young.
