So, a few days ago I moved one of my amanos over to my 90g. Hadn't found him but there are a lot of plants so wasn't worried. Sunday is my water change day and I hadn't cleaned the filter in 2 weeks so I was gonna do that today as well. I also hadn't seen my amano for a while.

Luckily I always drain my water into my bathtub before draining just in case I suck up anything.. not that that would do anything as I use a 400gph pond pump...

Anyways, I emptied my filter media into the tub as well to clean it and we'll I found my shrimp

He is chilling in a breeder box till I figure out how he snuck through a prefilter

And he just jumped out when I went to eat dinner..

Not sure how

If there is a way in a filter they will find it and go. Not sure why they like it, bunch of food I guess. When my false amanos were smaller they would crawl up the outflow on my aquaclears if flow wasnt full blast and go hang out in the filter until I cleaned it. Breeder box wont hold them unless its got a lid.

Could have, they can get a decent amount of air if they get freaked out.
