Question New Tank - Fishless Cycle

I am about 2 weeks into trying to cycle a tank without fish. I have a moss ball, anubias nana, and a Dwarf Lily that are growing quite nicely. Water levels have started to stall out and ph is high. 36 gal bowfront tank with a large piece of driftwood, rock, and gravel substrate. levels have been 8.2 ph, .25 ammonia, 2 nitrites, 10-20 nitrates for going on a week. Would you suggest a water change or no? Any other suggestions? I would love to add some fish soon. I have 4 yr old twin boys who are getting antsy.

I would suggest add some fast growers - stem plants, floaters, etc, at least initially. The more the better! This will go a long way towards stabilizing the tank.
Don't be afraid of water changes - make them a weekly event.
Once Ammonia and Nitrites are at zero, it is safe to add fish. Always very few at a time, give it a week or two before adding more.

In my experience, 2 weeks would be pretty quick to cycle a tank. Mine usually take about 3 maybe even closing in on 4.
