CO2 issue?

I've been trying to dial in my CO2 while dealing with some minor algae issues (green hair, green spot, staghorn). Would my rainbows spending time right at the surface indicate that Co2 is too high for them?

Yes. Do you have a co2 indicator? What's your injection rate?

Yes, drop checker that stays green. Doesn't turn yellow.

My bubble count is too high to count but it's a 120 gallon without a reactor, diffuser only.

I love your tank, what aquatic plants do you have ? I also have Bosemani Rainbows, they like to swim in the middle and on top. They will go to the top if your Co2 is to high . I almost gassed them trying to dial in Co2, they were at the top gasping for air! All is good now & they are happy & healthy. Good luck & thank you

Beautiful scape!

Have a go at this link.

More advice than I'm able or qualified to give. Suspect you are not agitating surface enough to have good gas exchange. Water on right end of tank seems almost too calm.

Entire site is a plethora of great advice too if you've never visited it.
