Question How does everyone feel about copepods

Just wanted to get everyones opinion on copepods. Some like them, some don't. I recently found I have them in a nano tank (webcam here: https://www.ivideon.com/tv/camera/20...8ga/0/?lang=en) and I personally don't mind them.

Always looked at them as a benefit, particularly in reef tanks.

I think pretty much any experienced aquarist is going to view them as beneficial and as a sign they have a healthy tank. Same goes for snails. Anyone who doesn't just hasn't taken the time to appreciate or understand them.

I'm all for them.

I'm a fan and think they are always a net positive to your ecosystem. I've noticed on the UK boards a lot of hobbyists on the other side of the pond seem to hate snails, scuds, and all manner of things they didn't deliberately introduce. But I find that unless you have fish to keep their numbers down, they're nearly inevitable.

Nothing good happens fast in an ecosystem.

I fully support the idea of any type of pod or scud living in your aquarium.
They're extremely beneficial and anything that can eat them, will eat them.
If you are seeing them out in the open, it means there's many many more that you don't see and your tank is healthy enough to support beneficial inhabitants that you're not caring for directly. It's a good sign to see.

Love them. Currently experimenting with blackworms in the substrate but Would also be adding copepods and isopods if possible.
