flood light for planted tank

hello,i have a 25 gal cube (20"x20"x20"/50cm x 50 cm x 50cm) i plan on using flood lights for the tabk since im on a budget,would one 20w work or two 10w? specs:2"substrate of potting soil and gravel for the top,filled with 1"gap from the top,no co2,plants:echinodorus bleheri,aponogeton crispus,crypt wentii,crypt spiralis,crypt wentii bronze,saggitaria subulata,3 types of vals,ludwigia repens,hygrophila angustifolia,nymphaea micrantha,and some buce,planning to get hygrophila polysperma,rotala rotundifolia,dwarf hairgrass(regular type),and hygro pinnatifida would the light be enough to grow them? thanks in advance

also forgot,thinking to ad hydrocotyle tripartita,leucophala,marsilea hirsuta,and crypt parva

I don't think that would be enough light for what you want, especially for the ground covers at the substrate level, you want a decent intensity to penetrate that depth.
30w, 2x20w or maybe even a 50w would be more realistic choices

This is my old tank (36x14x18 tall) with 2x30w COB style floodlights

That looks really good, and clearly growth is no issue. I'm looking at putting some floods over an upcoming 40b build. Do you have a link to the lights you used? Also, are you happy with the color temp of the 6000K lights?

Yes very happy. I did have 1 burn out after 10 months. That is to be expected running lights that are not designed to run 8 hours straight per day.

Thanks! One thing - the Amazon description says 3500K, but you said 6000K up above. Was that a mistake? I really like the look of your light, so I want to be sure to have the right color temp.

Whoops, my bad. I bought the 5000k ones, and they looked good.

I can't seem to find the links to the ones I bought, let me look back through my Amazon order history.
