Plumbing two tanks together

So I have an extra ten gallon tank I was going to set up right next to a 20 gallon I have going. A 206 canister and CO2 system will be right there in between. I think I've seen you can add an extra manifold to get CO2 to the second tank, but has anyone plumbed in to use one canister for two tanks? I feel like preventing overflows may be tricky.

You need to drill glass on both tanks and connect them with bulkhead fittings/overflows. Also double fail safe bulk head overflow. All it takes is one clogged overflow and you’ll end up with 10-20gal on floor.

I feel that for long term hobby fun, it will be better to keep the water flow separated as the expense and work of plumbing them together makes using a second filter look pretty cheap and easy. The CO2 can easily be combined to avoid a second tank, reg, and solenoid but you will need a second needle valve to allow you to control each tank.

I have a 25 cube and a 40b next to each other. They share the same co2 tank, regulator with separate needle valves like PlantedRich mention above but 2 separate canister filters
