Dim lights, dump weeks worth of ferts in before you leave. Come home and do a water change.

This is pretty much what I do when I travel for work.

I tend to simply ignore the short term absence as I do not want to upset things very much and fish simply do not starve that quickly. When gone for long periods, I have one dependable neighbor who is fully trained but otherwise, I would just leave it alone, rather than risk a novice feeding them. I leave the lights and timers alone and assume the plants may run short of ferts and slow their growth but that is not a really big bother as I don't want to trim a ton when I do get back.
