Long time reader. First time poster. Sorry for the dreaded, "am I overstocked" question but usually when someone asks they know they are
90 Gallon "Jungle Planted" setup for 2 years
8 hr photo period with Fluval Plant 3 Light
Bubble wall on back of tank runs all the time (bubble wall is 48" long)
2 x Fluval 406 filters
3" EcoComplete substrate with root tabs
EI dosing with NilocG All in One Ferts and Micros
50% water change once a week
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 60ppm or 80ppm at end of week (this always runs high even before overstocking my tap is 20ppm)
So I had used aqadvisor for the first year of setting the tank up but in the last couple of months I have gone a bit crazy of making the community tank...well, too community. I wanted others opinions on my stocking. Attached is a screen shot of my tank and aqadvisor stocking.
***Angelfish annoys me that he is in there but he is stunted (saved him many years ago when i purchased the tank on craigslist) and my wife is attached to him. The second i see him eating my other schoolers... HE'S GONE!!!
***The tank was recently trimmed back (tiger lily's and swords had taken over the surface blocking light)
So just wanted experts thoughts, on how far you've stocked your planted tanks.
