Co2 AND pH QUESTION

I turn my Co2 on 2 hours before my lights turn on and my Co2 turns off 1 hour before lights turn off. Is there a problem if my pH rises more than 1 point after lights turn off or lower than 1 point when lights have been on for a few hours?

It's my understanding that ph changes of that amount that are caused by Co2 exchange are not harmful to fish.

pH swings due to varying carbon dioxide levels are probably pretty normal in Nature, but more than 1 point would make me a bit nervous if it was my tank. (My pH drops about 0.7 points when I carbon dioxide inject.)

Can you test for dKH and let us know the value? I'm wondering how well buffered your tank is.

up to 1.3 seems to be fine.

anything more is where we see issues, but it depends on other tank parameters.
