Shipping plants (US Domestic): Do I need to label the box 'Live Plants' or something similar?

It's my first time mailing plants. I've received plants from other hobbyists and also read this page on packing aquatic plants. I'm sure my package will arrive just fine (priority mail from Texas to Florida). However I can't seem to find out if I need to label the box 'Live Plants' or not. And the 'perishable or potentially hazardous' think I should say yes, right? Any other tips for shipping?

Don't bother writing any thing extra on the box.
No special care is given IMHO.

Some USPS facilities love controversy so be careful what you write on the box.

Ok thanks for the advice! I looked several times at the USPS website and couldn't find any meaningful information.

Doing this is making me think of the time I mail ordered some assassin snails and the seller wrote 'live animals' on the box. The postman was so curious about what was in it he rang the doorbell and waited for me to answer and asked what was inside. At first he thought I was joking when I said assassin snails but then was amazed. I opened the box right there so he could see them.

Word of warning. some invasive plants are illegal to sell in some states. For example in california anacaris, water lettus, and water hyacinth are illegal to sell in the state. The rules very from state to state and I don't know the details. If you don't follw the rules and they discover you are mailing plants there might be legal consequences.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm very aware of this because I was wanting to try sunset hygro, but it's federally noxious, and really wanted some water spangles for my tank, but all salvinia is illegal in Texas. I already checked every list I could find for the plants I'm shipping, and they are all ok.
