EWWWW What it this!?!?!?!?!?

So I just noticed this "stuff" growing on the hornwood in my 40 breeder tank. Mind you now the wood has been in there for about 2 years now and this hasnt happened since the wood was first put in there. The more "cotton" is rather tiresome to remove as I have to pull each little clump individually with my hand. While the other branchy one has to somewhat be scraped off.

If it doesn't come off that easily, it might be black brush algae (though a clearer picture would help).

I’m sorry I couldn’t get my phone camera to focus. There’s a more “fluffy” form and a “branchy” form. Both are clack at the base and then white at the tips
