Y hose splitter

I bought a y hose splitter for water changes. It has a rubber smell to it though

Has anyone else ever use these for water changes?

A hose is a hose, we drank from them as kids and lived to tell the tale.....except in California where the brass fittings cause cancer. Garden hose and all its accessories are perfectly fine for our aquarium purposes.

My tank journal.

That is exactly what I use to conjoin my hot and cold backyard outlets, to fill my tank via python hosing.
You may not have noticed, but vinyl hosing has a smell to it also.
Beer tastes metallic when stored in an aluminum can, but my beer buzz feels the same with glass or can.
There's fine wine bagged in plastic lined boxes from Costco. I can't discern.
And then there are different types of condom material . . . nevermind.
