Is this Fugus?

My tank was setup 7 months ago. Recently I find this stuff grow on the driftwood. Shrimps do not touch it. It seems no harm to the livestock either, but it just not looks good. What may the cause? Will it goes away by itself?

Yeah I've had that going. What size tank, what filters and what powerheads do you have? I'm guessing it's only growing in area s with little water movement.

It is a small 5G tank. The filter is AC20 which should be good enough for a small tank. I also have a sponge filter too. It does grow on the the area without too much water movement. I can't take it out to clean or boil because there are too many shrimplets in the tank.

I always get that growing on new driftwood. it's harmless and eventually will go away on it's own but you can always just scrub it off and vacuum it out.
